Though not exactly “new,” Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently having a cultural and commercial moment, dominating headlines and inspiring new product launches – but what does this mean for adult entertainment specifically?
“Porn & AI: Legal & Community Implications” will be live-streamed on Tuesday October 10th at 4 pm ET via Zoom. During this special event brought to you by Silverstein Legal, Silverstein will lead a discussion exploring issues related to AI, including emerging opportunities, potential community implications, and associated legal rights and responsibilities.
“I can’t even begin to describe the quantity of legal work inquiries that my office has received during the past six months for legal issues related to AI,” Silverstein said. “I haven’t seen a single area of adult entertainment this hot in a very long time.”

When considering AI, the general consensus is that the time is now!
“If you were ever going to attend a legal seminar, this is probably the one for you since AI is really in its infancy,” Silverstein said.
Similarly, according to Schechter, “AI opens up an endless array of new opportunities… We need to get in front of it, otherwise it will certainly leap way ahead of us and we will never catch up.”
St James concurred with Silverstein and Schechter, stating that: “I believe AI is a technology that is here, and there is no stopping it. As creators, we can embrace it and find a way to monetize it or get left behind.” She continued, however, to offer a measure of caution.
“My greatest concern is this technology in the hands of scammers to catfish unsuspecting fans,” St James said. “They are already using our photos and videos to do this, and they will no doubt use our voices and AI technology to heighten scams. As a businesswoman who has created a brand, I need to find ways to protect that brand now and in the future.”
