PAHRUMP, Nev. – Providing an interesting glimpse into the data on who uses the brothel’s website to seek out the services of prostitutes – and why they do so – the Pahrump, Nevada-based Sheri’s Ranch has published an infographic “summarizing the characteristics and demographic information” of people who visited the bordello’s website in 2018.
The infographic includes a breakdown of the sex of people who used the website, the distribution of visitors’ age-range, which countries comprised the website’s traffic base, the devices used to access the site and the most commonly-searched keyword phrases by users.
According to Sheri’s, in 2018 74% of the website’s visitors were male and 26% female – a shift from a 79%/21% split between the sexes the year before – which the brothel said indicates “a significant shift in the number of women interested in seeing a prostitute.”
Sheri’s resident madam, Dena, said this shift came as no surprise to her, as she has observed an increase in the number of women frequenting the brothel over the course of the last decade.
“Women are more comfortable than ever when it comes to seeking a sex worker to assist them in satisfying their needs and exploring their curiosities,” Dena said. “Sheri’s has seen an enormous boom in the number of women and couples visiting us in the past several years, so it’s understandable that the proportion of women browsing our ladies online is steadily increasing.”
Although the gap between men and women seeking the services of sex workers has begun to narrow, Sheri’s observed that “men are still more interested than women when it comes to paying for sex, and men age 45-54 are more curious about seeing a prostitute than any other age group.”
Dena said that the data collected from the brothel’s website “accurately reflects our actual customer base.”
“Men middle-aged and older frequent Sheri’s Ranch more than other age group – and many of our best repeat customers are middle-age men enjoying an ongoing ‘girlfriend experience’ with our courtesans,” Dena added.
While the U.S. was the largest contributor of traffic to the Sheri’s website, Dena observed that the brothel’s proximity to Las Vegas has helped to make it an “international destination” – helping to explain why the United Kingdom and Japan combined to contribute almost 20% of the site’s traffic in 2018.
While populous U.S. states like California, Texas and New York unsurprisingly topped the list of states sending the most traffic to SherisRanch.com, Dena noted that Washington, D.C. also ranked high on the list, accounting for just over 4% of the site’s traffic last year.
“As far as such a high concentration of online visitors coming from the District of Columbia, powerful people often have insatiable sexual appetites,” Dena said. “Sheri’s is known for maintaining the privacy of our customers, so it’s no surprise that high-profile politicians are interested in learning more about the services our courtesans offer.”
The top three non-Sheri’s-branded keyword phrases associated with Sheri’s Ranch searches were “lose virginity to prostitute,” “legal prostitution Nevada” and “girlfriend experience.” The one suggesting there are many adult virgins seeking to lose their virginity to prostitutes might surprise some, but not Dena.
“Being a virgin over the age of 21 is more common than most people realize – and it’s nothing to be ashamed of,” she said. “Adult virgins have been discovering and frequenting Sheri’s Ranch for years. We are the deflowering capital of the world and we’re proud of it.”
