LOS ANGELES – With her 34G breasts and curvy form, Sheridan Love reminds big-boob lovers why they enjoy the niche. Yet despite the worshipful reverence she routinely receives from readers of SCORE magazine and and its online counterpart Scoreland.com, Love hasn’t had the easiest time finding hardcore girl-girl roles — which is why she got into adult in the first place.

As YNOT discovered, Love doesn’t give up easily.

YNOT.com: You have the most charming accent. Where are you from?

Sheridan Love: I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I never left the state of Texas until I started shooting porn movies, so that Texas twang you hear is all natural.

They say, “Everything is bigger and better in Texas,” and I am proof of that. I was blessed with huge boobs and a booty to match. Plus, I am told that I have bedroom eyes. When it comes to personality, I like to think I am one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

So what’s a nice Texas girl like you doing in a place like this?

I got into adult movies on a whim, actually. I was sitting with friends drinking one night, and we started discussing what our porn names would be. Since I was — and still am — a big porn fan, I already had one in mind.

After my friends left, I lay in bed and started watching one of my favorite female stars, Jesse Jane, and thinking how awesome it would be to be able to have sex with her and all the other hot females of the industry. I figured the only way I stood a chance was to get into porn.

So, I started a Twitter account and started following her and other big-name girls, learning who all the key players were so I could follow them, too. I started getting replies from various girls, some saying I should get into the business, so I started to get brave.

One day I decided I should go to the [Adult Entertainment Expo] in 2011 and meet everyone I was tweeting with. I fully expected these people would meet me and then kind of blow me off. Instead, the exact opposite happened, and I was accepted as if I was already a member of the industry. Rick Garcia even shot an impromptu photo shoot to teach me some of the basics and give me other pointers. That summer I shot my very first scene for SCORE.

What work have you done to date?

So far, all I have shot is solo and girl-girl scenes. I am most proud of the Against Her Will movies directed by Kay Brandt for New Sensations. They are the reason I won my first award.

You’re a gorgeous woman, and yet you have discovered that your body type can work against you. How so?

Where to start? I am a curvy girl. I have huge boobs and a big booty to go with them, but I am little in the middle.

When I started trying to get agents to represent me, I kept hearing the same thing over and over: “You are not built for girl-girl porn. Call us when you decide to start sucking and fucking men.”

It is very disheartening to hear this so often. One agency, which shall remain nameless, even said I was too big! The last time I checked in the mirror I didn’t see a big girl. I have a little waist with a flat tummy. I have curves like Marilyn Monroe. In her day she was a sex symbol, but now she would be called big?

I got into porn for the girls. I love girls, but basically they are telling me I am too big. WTF? I wasn’t aware there was a specific body type required to shoot these kinds of scenes. Nothing against the other body frames in the industry, but I love my body type. Other girls in the industry tell me all the time how much they love my body. But yet I can’t even get an agency to rep me.

I don’t have the names and numbers of the various directors and studios. I try to show up at events and meet people, hoping to stand out so I am remembered. I hand out business cards. I have had some help in the introductions department from Teagan Presley and Joshua. The scenes I have been in were self-booked using this strategy and the power of Twitter. And I cannot leave out the fact that fans have been requesting me.

But you’ve had some good times, too, right?

I’d have to say the whole day of shooting Against Her Will #1 was pretty funny, honestly. I spent a lot of the movie tied up. To add a hint of authenticity to the theme of the movie, I was quite literally tied to a chair.

Throughout the course of the day, I spent a lot of time tied to this chair or in front of a burning fireplace. I can’t tell you how many times I was forgotten about sitting in that chair and sweating my ass off.

The looks on the faces of Kay [Brandt] and the other girls every time they came back into the room and realized they never untied me? Priceless!

Why do you stick to girl-girl porn?

It isn’t that I don’t like guys — because I do — but I got into the adult industry for the girls.

Let’s face it: Banging porn chicks is safer and more satisfying than picking up some random girl in a bar, club or whatever. At least in the porn industry, these girls know what they are doing and get tested every 14-28 days. Not to mention that most of these girls legitimately like other girls. You can’t find that combination in the civilian world.

When you’re not working, what else takes your time and your attention?

When I am not shooting porn, you can find me camming on Streamate. It helps me build my fan base, plus it allows me to hear what the fans have to say. Camming not only allows me to interact with them on a more personal level, but it is also a way for me to work on my performing skills.

There are no coaches in porn. I let my fans watch me “practice” and then critique what they see. I listen to their feedback.

As far as hobbies go, I am really into rock music and hockey. I try to go to as many concerts as possible. I used to go to hockey games as often as I could, but since leaving Dallas, I haven’t been able to go to a game.

I also spend a lot of time at the gym. At one point in my life I weighed more than 200 pounds, thanks to a faulty thyroid. Once that was addressed, I worked my butt off to lose all that weight — and I intend on keeping it off.

How has working in adult changed your life?

I get to travel a lot more now. Like I mentioned previously, before getting into the adult industry I had never left the state of Texas. I fly to other states for conventions and try to give myself an extra day or two so I can be a tourist.

Also, I have been able to meet various people that I am a fan of — Hollywood celebrities, musicians and professional athletes. Never in a million years do I think I would have had that opportunity before getting into adult. The hardest part is not acting like some crazed fangirl.

Getting recognized in public has been a pretty positive experience so far. But the biggest change has been the boost in self confidence fans have given me. When I started in the industry, I was only just starting to gain my confidence back.

What’s next?

I love this industry, and I want to keep shooting more and more scenes, so I will keep trying to get booked. I’ll do it the hard way.

I compare it to a grassroots [political] campaign. I’m starting with this small idea that one day I’ll be a success, and hopefully at the end I will be.
