HOLLYWOOD, CA – Stars from the latest Shane’s World “College Invasion” DVD will appear in-person at Hustler Hollywood on Thursday night to sign autographs and speak to fans. The meet and greet session will include stars Brittney Skye, Trina Michaels and Lexington Steele, and according to Shane’s World spokesperson Nicole Henderson, such in-person appearances are vital to her company’s marketing approach.“This is the second time that Shane’s World has sponsored a Hustler Store signing,” Henderson told YNOT. “Although we don’t normally promote our brand through store signings, we make special appearances regularly.”
Henderson also told YNOT that it helps when fans get to meet the stars in-person.
“Our ‘college invasions’ are a chance for college students to meet and mingle with their favorite porn stars, and we even have several episodes of “Porn Star Date” in which fans write in to win a date with their favorite porn star. The date ends with the two having a sex scene.”
According to Henderson, Shane’s World has built up a solid reputation with college students across America.
“The Shane’s World brand is well known throughout the college community as being a fun company that brings porn stars to their college town to party with them,” Henderson said. “We have a waiting list right now of students that want us to come to their schools and have a party. Word of mouth from those who know our product and have experienced our ‘college invasions,’ plus our strong presence in the adult DVD market, has definitely been an efficient tool for branding the Shane’s World name.”
Shane’s World found itself at the center of controversy recently when a national fraternity was suspended when some of its members from California State University, Chico performed sex acts with porn stars in the latest “College Invasion” DVD. The publicity from the Chico event could raise demand for Shane’s World’s public appearance on Thursday night.
“It is extremely important for companies to get out there and mix it up with the fans,” added Henderson. “The Hustler Store signing with be a great opportunity for many local fans to come out and meet their favorite adult stars in a fun, trendy setting.”
