LOS ANGELES – A group of 12 artists demonstrate their decidedly offbeat creativity in an online exhibition with only one rule: Each piece must feature a specific sex toy.
Eight of the nine pieces on display so far are sculpture; one is performance art. The work of three additional artists will appear soon, according to notations in the virtual gallery.
The exhibit, The Art of Sexperimentation, was mounted by MB Technologies, manufacturer of the Motorbunny motorized ride-on-top vibrator designed for both women and men.
“We invited 12 artists to share their vision and imagination, and they created truly inspiring works of art that show a whole new side of Motorbunny,” said Craig Mewbourne, brand consultant for MB Technologies. “We encourage our customers to experiment, and we hope this project reminds them that the opportunities for sexually creative experiences are limitless when you ‘hop on’ a Motorbunny.”
Participating artists were selected from applicants around the U.S. who sought an opportunity to celebrate healthy sexual expression. The effort marks the first time MB Technologies has curated a digital collection of artwork using, and inspired by, Motorbunny products.
“Empowering artists to employ Motorbunny units in their creative process was a great chance to showcase their unique talents while demonstrating the brand’s playful personality,” Mewbourne said.
