YNOT – From telecommunications companies to fast food restaurants, companies have long used “bundles” of related products and services to draw in consumers seeking more for their dollar. Pink Visual picked up that banner this week by introducing a new bundled-content option to users of its cloud-based video site PVLocker.com.
PVLocker’s a la carte menu allows users to buy only the scenes they want, and then store those scenes in their personal “cloud” for later viewing on any device. The bundling feature offers users a way to stretch their porn budgets even further by purchasing groups of scenes by their favorite performers or studios or in their favorite genres.
“The format is perfect for the cost-conscious adult connoisseur, and bundling scenes together for bulk purchases lowers [end users’] costs even further,” said Liam Colins, director of business development for Pink Visual. “It’s a great feature for fans of particular studios, individual performers or specific niche categories.
“One of our current featured bundled offerings is ‘Best of Alexis Texas,’ through which a fan can get all of Alexis’ scenes currently offered on PVLocker for half the cost of purchasing those scenes separately.”
The bundling system automatically accounts for any episodes within the bundle that have already been purchased by the customer. For example, if a given bundle includes 10 episodes and the customer already owns two of those episodes, then the price on that bundle for that customer automatically is reduced by 20 percent.
“The new bundling system offers us remarkable flexibility and the ability to quickly package together content to take advantage of hot trends, publicity generated by a particular star, and things along those lines,” Colins said. “In other words, the next time a mainstream celebrity makes headlines for carousing with a particular porn performer, we can create a bundle of that performer’s scenes and promote it front and center on our main page in a matter of minutes.”
Colins termed PVLocker’s structure “porn packaging for the post-DVD world.”
“Do you want just one star’s scenes from five different studios? We can do it,” he said. “You want every scene ever shot for the Couples Seduce Teens video line? We can do that, too. If you want just the best scenes from a three-DVD series from Acid Rain or Smash Pictures, we can put those together for you so they’re affordable, portable and privately stashed in your cloud locker.”
Whether PVLocker consumers purchase by the scene or by the bundle, webmasters can earn up to $25 per sale or 60-percent recurring revenue share through the TopBucks Mobile affiliate program.
