BERLIN – Savanna Samson had no idea that she was the Best Erotic Actress in the World until her name was announced from the stand during the 2005 Erotic Line Awards.The classically trained ballerina turned porn star was on hand with co-Vivid Girl Lexie Marie for a signing appearance at the Venus Expo and attended the award presentation as part of her German tour – and wound up accepting the most coveted of German awards from Vivid director, Paul Thomas.

Samson has appeared in more than 30 videos, including several directed by Thomas, and will play Miss Jones in Vivid’s freshly-released “The New Devil in Miss Jones.” Jenna Jameson, probably the most famous Vivid Girl to date, will co-star as the Devil.

The AVN Awards honored Samson in 2004 with the statue for Best Actress in a Film and in 2005 she received awards for Best Girl/Girl Scene and Best Group Sex Scene. A popular feature dancer in gentlemen’s clubs, including Scores in Manhattan, she has appeared in “The Girls of Scores,” and has cultural tastes not usually associated with porn vixens, including an affection for opera at the Met, a fondness for New York City museums and dining, and writing.
