YNOT – Have you ever wanted to have sex like a porn star? There’s a workshop that promises to teach you mad skills. The Porn Star Sex Life course is led by Penthouse Pet, sex educator and girl-girl sex scene veteran Ryan Keely, who took some time to explain the project to YNOT.com.

YNOT.com: Please tell us what this course is all about.
Ryan Keely: Porn Star Sex Life workshop is a straightforward and colloquial sex education program. We focus on insider tips and tricks to improve your sex life, positions to maximize pleasure, bedroom communication skills, sex toys and advanced sex techniques.

My background is very unique. I have worked in most areas of the adult industry, including performing, producing, critiquing adult films as well as working in adult retail, both buying products and working with customers. Porn Star Sex Life isn’t just about my perspective and what I’ve learned through research and experience, so we bring in other professionals from different areas of the sex industry to share their insights and opinions. We are very excited to have McKenzee Miles working with us.

How does someone in adult film teach regular people to have a “porn star sex life?” What goes into your method of teaching?
The workshop is an intensive multi-hour event. Josh Rosenberg from UpYourAttraction.com kicks it off with a short talk on when to make the first move. After Josh finishes, I jump into pre-foreplay touch and excitement building, followed by foreplay and sex positions, which the lovely McKenzee will help me demonstrate.

A break is followed by an interactive section on sex toys. I’ll teach you how to shop for sex toys as wells as how to use them. We will be covering vibes, insert-ables, lubes and beginner BDSM equipment.

After this, things get really fun and filthy with a big section on “edgy” sexual behaviors like threesomes, anal, rough sex and most importantly, how to communicate with potential play partners. I take questions throughout the day as well as well as a formal Q and A before we all relax and mingle with a few cocktails, giving people a chance to ask Josh, McKenzee and me questions they didn’t want to ask in front of the group.

Are looks still the biggest issue for guys? If not, what are the biggest issues with men who look for women?
With men, it’s not as much about looks as some would think. It’s mostly about confidence and skills in the bedroom. What’s great is that being amazing in bed will make you more confident, and you will attract more women. While you don’t need to master the Kama Sutra, you do need to be more than proficient at several sexual positions, ones that work for your cock’s unique size and shape. Solid foreplay technique and bedroom communication skills are very important, as well.

What are the most important lessons you try to get across to your students?
I help people find and embrace their inner porn star while giving them the skill set to fuck like one.

What have you learned for yourself from teaching this course?
I am always learning from my students and my guest teachers. I love how a different perspective or a challenging question can challenge me to expand my horizons and research a new variation.
I try to stay abreast by reading as much on the topic of sex and sexuality as I can — something I’ve always done. The variety of material is amazing. I find myself reading memoirs, how-tos, erotica and research documents. Right now, I am reading Sex as Dawn, which I highly recommend.
