YNOT – Fans seeking entertaining, independent porn reviews have a surprise in store at longstanding reviews website RogReviews.com. The site has undergone a complete overhaul, re-launching recently with a new look, new content and a new attitude to complement the usual adult news, reviews and eye candy.
RogReviews.com 3.0 features a leaner design with more graphics, new video content and a bevy of new writers in addition to XRCO Hall of Fame founder Roger T. Pipe. A mobile version for portable devices is available, as well. Online since 1998, the site was rebuilt in 2001 and has remaining largely unchanged since then.
“The site has served readers well for a long time, but after 10 years it was time for a major change,” said Pipe, who remains the head writer and owner. “I am very excited and extremely proud of the work done by the design team.”
Pipe offered props to webmaster Natalie Dawn and Internet Adult Film Database’s Jeff Vanzetti for their redesign efforts.
“They labored tirelessly to incorporate greater functionality into the new design while importing the massive amount of content built up over the last 15 years,” Pipe said.
He also said he’s looking forward to working with the team of new reviewers he expects to contribute regularly, providing readers with different perspectives on adult material and a fresh approach to underrepresented genres including fetish, gay and transsexual.
“The site has mostly featured my reviews,” Pipe said. “I’m proud of my work, but it is time to open things up to writers with different tastes and who cover porn that I haven’t. We will serve a broader readership, and I am really excited about that.”
In addition to new reviewers, RogReviews.com 3.0 also features regular guest bloggers from the adult industry and beyond. Performers Aurora Snow and Lanah Layeau and industry blogger [URL=”http://www.LittleWhiteSlut.com/”]Indigo have joined the team, and Pipe said he expects to add others “soon.”
“I have always had guest bloggers on the site,” Pipe said. “The new design will allow for more regular contributions. Readers will love hearing what [the bloggers] have to say.”
The “Interviews” section of the sites also has undergone a makeover. Along with hundreds of text interviews with adult film luminaries, the site now includes audio and video interviews with new stars, directors and other industry personalities.
In addition to movie, website and toy reviews, special sections devoted to retail sites, rental programs, video on demand and dating services are featured on the revamped RogReviews.com.
Greater interactivity is another aspect of which Pipe is fond. Readers now have the ability to comment directly on every post, fostering discussion. An “Ask Rog” feature and social media links also encourage interaction.
“The site has always been a labor of love,” Pipe said. “I hope the new design will help me keep doing what I do for years to come.”
