Rob “TheLegacy” Warren: Livin’ in a WebmasterParadise.com

Rob Warren, known on YNOT’s boards as moderator “TheLegacy,” is director of marketing and sales for WebmasterParadise.com — a top adult content provider in the marketplace. He has been with WebmasterParadise.com for three years and in the adult internet biz for more than 12 years. WebmasterParadise.com offers loads and loads of plug-ins for paysites, and Warren tells YNOT about what innovations WebmasterParadise.com has to offer.

YNOT: So, in a nutshell, what does your company provide for webmasters?

TheLegacy: We offer the largest selection of movie plug-ins to paysite owners for a flat fee. In addition, we offer them a new alternative to paying thousands of dollars in bandwidth costs by a fixed cost that they can depend won’t go up and hasn’t changed since the company’s start.

YNOT: What new things are happening with WebmasterParadise.com?

TheLegacy:A year or so ago, we took the initiative that no one else had, and that was to offer paysite owners a new plug-in movie each and every day. This was met with tremendous approval from those who require continually updating of content. If you are paying for feeds, you simply can’t allow or expect your members to watch the same stuff without any hope for new content.

YNOT: What can webmasters look forward to seeing from this as a result?

TheLegacy: Webmasters see recurring members and new sales happening. Simple as that. When a member is happy to return and pay for another month, it generally means they are getting what they want. We help shut that back door on lost members who tire of coming back weekly and in some cases, monthly waiting for new content. Now daily, members become addicted to checking us out daily.

YNOT:Why are plug-ins important for paysites and how does WebmasterParadise.com deliver them best?

TheLegacy: Plug-ins save money and offer fresh content to members who demand more for their money. We offer over 280 categories so that every taste and fetish is dealt with. Make sure that whatever plug-in company you’re working with has the proper ID’s and 2257’s available, as well. The ever-changing codes/laws require a continual watchful eye. WebmasterParadise.com continually updates and verifies that every movie and clip we offer is within code so that webmasters can feel secure.

YNOT:Tell me about the bandwidth costs and how prohibitive they are for the average webmaster.

TheLegacy: For a long period of time, webmasters were comfortable with the thought that putting any movie on their site would require bandwidth costs to rise. Today though, webmasters are finding they are paying for the privilege of having plug-in movies on their website(s) – sometimes several thousands of dollars a month. WebmasterParadise.com has, since 1998, always offered thousands of movies for one price – $399 USD per month. There’s no monthly contract and you can add as many of your websites to your profile for no extra charge. I generally hear a gasp on the phone when they realize their monthly costs to run a website dropped sometimes by half. Say what you will about cheaper hosting companies, but when you start having a huge database of content, and your members are viewing it – you simply can’t keep up with the high costs. We offer our webmasters the movies they would purchase for their members at a price that is cost effective and fixed.

YNOT: What other kinds of solutions do you offer webmasters?

TheLegacy: Outside of the massive database of movies and the low costs, we offer a strong support team of professionals who have been in this industry a long time to provide website assistance. Our mission is that we do not want you as a client for three months and then you leave. If we can help you become a stronger webmaster, you will then be a stronger client of ours. The feeds are simple to put up with very little time spent on the webmasters’ part. The payments are light and fixed so there are no surprises, that many webmasters feel as they await the invoice from other companies worrying where they will find the next few thousand to pay for the movies they need for their members.

YNOT: Please describe the ease of set up that your site offers customers.

TheLegacy:The set up for our feeds is very simple. If you can put up a banner on your site, then you can put our feeds up. It’s simply taking the thumbnails we provide – put the link behind them as you would any banner – and you’re done. Though with over 280 categories, this process will take you under two hours – but once done, you won’t ever have to touch it again since we update the feeds for you.

YNOT: How do you advise webmasters on how to retain their customers?

TheLegacy: The main reason why webmasters lose customers is that they fail to see their own website as a customer. Ask honestly, would you sign up for your own? Failure to see the broad picture instead of focusing entirely on “what return am I going to get” tends to taint your opinion and direction. Then, when they do know what they want for their site, they are unable to get the message out. Many companies do the same thing. They have an awesome internal structure that would set them apart from any other company, but instead of focusing on the key points that webmasters need to know in order to have customers choose them over the many competitors – some adult companies tend to mimic their competitor in banners and promotions. You then fail to show your strengths, which in turn ends up, to webmasters, a price war instead of a value decision. No one should need to question or fight your pricing structure if they properly see the value in what you are offering. The same is true for webmasters and their websites. Have the value in the website and no surfer will question they need to sign up.
