CYBERSPACE — Six-time Penthouse Pet Sandra Shine says the economy isn’t hurting her online endeavors. The Hungarian-born blonde offers two webmaster affiliate programs covering six websites that run the gamut from providing a personal glimpse into Shine’s life to erotic e-tail, a Hungarian model agency, softcore nude photography and a playpen inhabited by Shine and her friends.YNOT caught up with Shine and insisted the busy beauty sit still long enough to answer a few questions.
YNOT: When did you launch your first website?
Shine: October 2005.
YNOT: How are you adjusting to the new global economy?
Shine: The economic crisis affects everybody, of course. I am lucky, as my customers are real fans who won’t leave me for any reason. I keep very close with them and do new things to make them happy as often as I can.
YNOT: How do most of your visitors discover your website?
Shine: I am doing a little bit of promoting myself, and my cute webmaster promotes me, too. I attend erotic shows all around Europe. And if you Google me, my site comes up first.
YNOT: Have you done any business with any of the bigger adult companies, or are you strictly a solo act?
Shine: I was exclusive for my own website from the moment I opened it, so I haven’t had much of an opportunity to work with others recently. My idea was to keep the newly shot material for my site only, so people who want to see me would keep coming to my site. It seems to be working.
YNOT: What do you do to make your site stand out from all the others operated by internet models?
Shine: Besides the high quality and 100-percent exclusive sex content of me and my girlfriends, I keep everything very personal. I frequently post pictures and video diaries so fans can follow my daily activities. I also offer a “fun stuff” section where I post travel videos. I basically bring my camera everywhere just in case something interesting happens. I post backstage picture galleries and behind-the-scenes videos of all the updates so people can see what’s happening when the main camera isn’t rolling. People seem to enjoy the backstage and fun stuff sections the most. I also post porn star interviews so members can get to know my friends, as well. I have my free public forum where I chat with fans every day. It’s a nice community where they spend quality time. I also do custom videos in which I try to fulfill personal requests. I am always open to special requests like fan signs or any new ideas.
YNOT: What qualities do you value in a photographer? What about a webmaster?
Shine: Photographers always should have good eyes for poses and camera angles; should bring in new ideas and be easygoing. I like when the shoot is dynamic. As for a webmaster, I like people with whom I can have a long and fruitful business relationship.
YNOT: Why should webmasters consider joining your affiliate program?
Shine: Because it’s a fair program and I have exclusive content. I provide affiliates with all the necessary promo tools like banners, high-sized promo content in zipped files, free-hosted pics and video galleries with various templates. Affiliates can easily earn money from my career.
YNOT: What advice would you give to other models who are considering starting their own sites? Any pitfalls or blessings you’d like to point out?
Shine: Try to get involved with your site as much as you can. Fans will feel it if you are close to them.
