MENLO PARK, Calif. – ProDx Health, makers of the Pro13 PASS-certified, at-home testing kit, has announced the release of their HPV home-test kit, called the “Trust 1 Home Collection Kit.”
In the announcement, ProDx said the company aims to maintain “the same level of CLIA certification as always while offering even better service and options for clients” in expanding their selection of at-home test kits.
“Both industry and civilians will benefit from the new Trust 1 Home Collection Kit,” ProDx said in the announcement. “Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common STD in the world, with some strains linked to cervical, anal, and other types of cancer. Since it’s asymptomatic, most people don’t even know they have it, and people can spread the virus unknowingly. The Trust 1 Home Collection Kit detects up to 15 strains of HPV DNA in women with cervixes.”
According to the announcement, the Trust 1 Home Collection Kit includes swabs for sample collection, a pre-paid return envelope and a detailed instruction guide. The kit is priced at $95. As with the company’s other tests, results are available within 48 hours once the kit has been received at the ProDx Health lab.
