YNOT – Adult video-on-demand provider GameLink, part of Barcelona-based Private Media Group’s Online Division, has launched an a-la-carte mobile solution for consumers, studios and affiliates.The new system is globally accessible and enables consumers to use their mobile devices — including iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android phones — to purchase and watch adult content GameLink’s online adult store. All purchased content is available for future viewing in the customers’ virtual media centre that is stored in the company’s “cloud” library, enabling consumers to watch their content on any device they own (including desktop and laptop computers).
With more than 15,000 movies available at GameLink.com, the mobile-enabled site provides a seamless content transition for the consumer, according to a company spokesperson. The 1,300 participating studios include Evil Angel, Elegant Angel, Pink Visual, Zero Tolerance, Teravision and Private.
Users of Apple devices do not need to download an installation app, because the mobile platform is formatted to work with the Safari browser, thus sidestepping Apple’s restrictions on adult content.
“GameLink has experienced substantial growth in mobile traffic over the past two years, and we are seeing that these consumers are purchasing all types of products using their phones, from VOD to novelties,” said Director of Online Sales Jeff Dillon. “Using the latest wireless technologies for smartphones, we have extended our existing online store to the mobile web. The navigation system has been customized for wireless devices, enabling both ease of search and ease of purchase.
“Private Media Group is in a unique position to offer consumers of adult content the ultimate mobile solution via its GameLink, Private and Sureflix properties,” he continued. “This groundbreaking mobile platform is also available to other adult studios as a white-label solution, enabling them to distribute content globally in multiple formats. GameLink is the first company to create such a product for the adult market.”
Allison Vivas, president of Pink Visual and Top Bucks, said the solution represented a natural fit for her companies.
