VALLETTA, MALTA — The Maltese are among the most porn-obsessed internet users in the European Union, according to statistics compiled and published by Malta Today.Six porn sites rank among the top 50 destinations for Maltese surfers: PornHub.com (at No. 21), LiveJasmin.com (31), YouPorn.com (35), RedTube.com (41), Tube8.com (47) and XHamster.com (50). According to Malta Today, all six of the sites are free and require no age verification.
In fact, PornHub outranks the University of Malta website (25); the most popular news portal in Malta, Di-Ve.com (28), and the two most popular banking sites in the country: Bank of Valletta (24) and HSBC (37).
Having six porn sites in the Top 50 puts Malta in rare company. Only Spain seems as attracted to porn. The most popular of its six sites, Petardas.com, ranks 41st. Following that are PornHub, TuPorno.tv, XVideos, RedTube and LiveJasmin.
Online porn obsession appears to drop off after Malta and Spain. Italy counts only four porn sites among its top 50, and Cyprus claims three. YouPorn is the most popular adult website in both countries, sitting on both lists at No. 14.
