SACRAMENTO, CA — Some people seem to exist purely as an example of how not to successfully lead one’s life. Two young men who robbed an adult bookstore but couldn’t drive a car without drawing police attention are a classic case in point.David Loria and Kenyetta Lofton are each 18-years-olds with ambitions. Alas for the duo, those ambitions include armed robbery.

For the purposes of this article, the armed robbery of most interest took place at Goldie’s Adult Book Store. It was there that the two freshly legal adult men decided to scare up a little cash by waving a shotgun around and demanding that both employees and customers hand over whatever they had on them, as well as what was in the cash register.

It was approximately 9:30 pm when crime temporarily paid. Fortunately, a telephone call to the police was places shortly afterwards, alerting authorities to the fact that the two black hooded sweatshirt and blue bandana wearing teens were on the rampage.

As luck would have it, whoever was behind the wheel of the getaway car didn’t pay as much attention to the placement of at least one stop sign as he had the placement of his impressive firearm.

While a police report was being taken at the scene of the robbery, Loria and Lofton found themselves trying to explain away the uninterrupted traffic progression. Unfortunately, the two men, both on searchable probation for other legal violations, hadn’t bothered to ditch the evidence of their latest armed public appearance.

As News 10 quoted officers explaining, “The investigation revealed that these two men committed the armed robbery.”

Assisting that investigation was the presence of an unusual amount of cash and property within the vehicle, all of it freshly liberated from the customers and employees of Goldie’s Adult Book Store.
