LAS VEGAS, NV — Some say that Mattel’s Barbie doll has everything. She may have a pink convertible, a gay ex-boyfriend, an astronaut’s suit, and more spiked heels than Imelda Marcos, but she’s never been a Playboy Bunny. Only real girls can grow up to do that — and on August 11th SIRIUS Radio listeners will be able to tune in and find out exactly how that happens.Playboy Enterprises will conduct its latest Bunny Search at the Palms Casino Resort on Friday, August 11th from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm in preparations for the celebrations surrounding the opening of the much anticipated Playboy Experience at the Palms Fantasy Tower this October.
Once selected, the newest batch of Bunnies will act as cocktail servers and hostesses at the Playboy Club, as well as dealer/croupiers at the accompanying branded casino.
This will be the first Playboy Club to open in 25 years and will include the Moon nightclub and a retail shop, in addition to its casino. Given the Playboy lifestyle image, it should come as no surprise that the two-story Hugh Hefner Sky Villa will be one of the most richly appointed and luxurious suites in Las Vegas.
“We’re looking for this generation’s Playboy Bunnies to bring an entire new era of elegance and fun to The Playboy Experience,” Christie Hefner, chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises explains.
The Bunny Search will be broadcast live by Playboy Radio on SIRIUS channel 198 as well as replayed during the Playboy Morning Show on Monday, August 14th. Additionally, AOL Vegas will cover the event with live blog updates, photos, and an after-event feature article.
Beautiful women hoping to become a Bunny can sign up at the $40 million Pool and Bungalows at the Palms on the day of the contest or online at any time prior to that. The event, hosted by Playboy, DitchFridays, and PlayboyBunnySearch.com, will also feature the music of the Abe Froman Showmen.
Women unable to be in Las Vegas for the contest need not lose hope. Further Playboy Bunny Searches will be conducted throughout the United States, including San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
