CHICAGO, IL — The fact that there are no mobile carriers currently providing erotic material to their subscribers doesn’t mean that members of the adult entertainment industry can’t get their goods into the hands of fans. If the masterminds behind Playboy magazine have any say about it, the next ring or vibration that consumers hear or feel will remind them of their love of bunnies.Playboy Bunnies, naturally.

While it’s only speculation and rumor at this point, both are making their way around the circuit about the likelihood that Hugh Hefner’s enterprise is negotiating a deal with LG, Motorola, and Siemens about the possibility of releasing a bunny branded mobile phone.

According to Electronista.com, the company hopes to develop either a custom-designed or branded phone that will provide customers with an “upscale” communication tool that will not only send and receive information on the wireless network, but make it crystal clear that its owner is a hip sensualist with a taste for quality.

Word has it that the high end phone will include Bluetooth capability, as well as a built-in camera and MP3 player. Although no carrier has been selected as of yet, it is believed that a GSM-based device is preferred, which makes AT&T or T-Mobile the most likely candidates within the United States.
