Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support has announced the launch of a free online support group “exploring the challenges neurodivergent individuals face in traditional work environments and why many turn to alternatives like the adult industry.”
The support group, which will run for six weeks, is called “Workplace Woes and Finding Alternatives.” The group, sponsored by Clips4Sale and will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Tristan Brooks, will have its first session on Tuesday, March 10 at 3pm EST.
“This group will offer a supportive space for neurodivergent performers to explore why mainstream employment structures often fail them,” Brooks explained. “We’ll unpack systemic barriers, share experiences, and foster strategies to navigate or even thrive outside of traditional norms. The goal is to validate our paths and build community through shared understanding.”
According to the announcement, “Workplace Woes and Finding Alternatives” sessions will last approximately one hour and will take place online each week at the same time. For more information and to reserve a spot, visit pineapplesupport.org/support-groups.
“People with neurodivergent diagnoses face high rates of unemployment in mainstream industries, and many have found that flexible workplaces like the adult industry offer a more welcoming alternative,” noted Pineapple Support founder and CEO, Leya Tanit. “Too often, traditional workplaces are ill-equipped to accommodate those who think and operate differently. I’m proud that Pineapple Support can offer a space where performers can unpack these frustrations, share support, and envision better pathways forward.”
Pineapple Support also recently announced Tanit will be hosting a panel discussion at the upcoming TES Affiliate Conference in Marbella, Spain, titled “The High Cost You’re Not Tracking (But Already Paying For).” The discussion will be “focused on the hidden financial and human costs of ignoring mental health in the workplace,” according to the announcement.
Founded by Tanit in 2018 following a string of losses within the adult industry stemming from depression and other mental illnesses, Pineapple Support is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States. To date, the organization reports that it has “connected over 19,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.”
