Pineapple Support to Host Virtual Event on Money and Mental Health
Adult industry mental health non-profit Pineapple Support has announced the organization will host a free, two-day virtual event about “the complex relationship between financial wellbeing and mental health within the adult industry.”
The “Money & Mental Health” event will be hosted by creator and mentor Char Borley and run August 18 – 19. According to the announcement, the event will include “panels, workshops and conversations led by expert speakers and industry professionals.”
The first day of the event, August 18, will feature the discussion “Naked Truth About Wealth: From Content Creation to Retirement” with Nate Mallory & Mia Lee. The session will run from 1pm to 2pm EST. Then, from 2pm to 3pm, a panel discussion called “The Price of Success: Money & Mental Health in the Adult Industry” will be held, hosted by Tess Kilwein and featuring panelists Austin Fiascone, Austin Ponce, Athena Bellamy, Josy Black and Kasey Kei.
On the second day of the event, August 19, a session called “Beyond the Hustle: Burnout, Boundaries & Mental Health in the Adult Industry” will run from 1pm – 2pm EST, hosted by Malia Scott.
From 2pm – 3pm on the same day, Duke Tax will host “Adulting 101: A Tax and Finance Workshop for the Working Adult Unlock the tax-saving potential of your adult working life.”
Also on August 19, Red Evie will present “Building a Life I Own: How Money Skills Set Me Free” from 2:45pm – 3:45pm.
“Financial insecurity, banking discrimination, and the pressures of hustle culture can take a heavy emotional toll on adult industry professionals,” said Pineapple Support founder and CEO Leya Tanit. “By bringing these conversations to the forefront, we hope to break stigma, offer practical resources, and provide a community of support. Because financial health is mental health.”
