Pineapple Support Launches Support Group for Healthier Relationships
Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support has announced it will host a free online support group “focused on enhancing connection and personal growth.” The six-week support group, titled “Enhancing Interpersonal Connections for Growth and Support” will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Selina Smith.
The first session in the six-week group will begin on Monday, December 1 at 9pm Eastern Standard Time.
“This group is designed to help performers explore meaningful interpersonal connections, starting with the relationship they have with themselves,” Smith said. “Over six weeks, we’ll work through authentic self-awareness, trust, intimacy, and community, offering a safe space for reflection and actionable strategies for stronger, healthier relationships.”
Founded by British adult performer Leya Tanit in 2018 after a tragic series of losses within the adult industry community stemming from depression and other mental health struggles, Pineapple Support is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. To date, the organization reports that it has “connected over 16,000 adult performers to free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.”
“Building strong interpersonal connections is a vital part of emotional resilience,” Tanit said. “This support group offers performers a valuable opportunity to connect with themselves and others in a compassionate space, exploring trust, intimacy, and community. These are tools we all need, both personally and professionally.”
According to the announcement, each session in the “Enhancing Interpersonal Connections for Growth and Support” group will run approximately one hour, taking place each Monday evening for six weeks. The first session will begin on Monday, December 1 at 6pm Pacific time/9pm Eastern.
