Pineapple Support Launches ADHD-Friendly Support Group
Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support has announced the organization will host a free, online support group “designed to help performers with ADHD transform their relationship with self-criticism.”
According to the announcement, the six-week support group, “ADHD-Friendly: 30 Days to Befriend Your Inner Critic”, will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Dr. Jena Field, and will begin on Monday, October 6, at 1pm EST.
“Many of us see our inner critic as an enemy to be silenced, but that only reinforces shame and self-doubt,” Dr. Field said. “This group will reframe the inner critic as a misunderstood ally. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we’ll explore ways to challenge negative self-beliefs, build an inner support system, and access calm and strength when it’s needed most.”
Founded by British performer Leya Tanit in 2018 after a tragic series of losses within the adult industry community stemming from depression and other mental health struggles, Pineapple Support is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. To date, the organization reports that it has “connected over 16,000 adult performers to free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.”
“Performers with ADHD face unique challenges, especially around self-criticism and managing emotions,” Tanit said. “This group offers a supportive, research-backed space to transform those challenges into opportunities for self-compassion and growth. I’m grateful to Dr. Field for providing this vital support to our community.”
The six-week “ADHD-Friendly: 30 Days to Befriend Your Inner Critic” support group will begin Monday, October 6, at 1pm EST (10am PST / 7pm CET). Sessions will last 90 minutes and take place online each Monday.

In other news from the organization, Pineapple Support recently announced the appointment of Char Borley as their latest brand ambassador.
“Char’s global reach and authentic passion for mental health make her an invaluable addition to our ambassador program,” Tanit said at the time. “Her voice resonates with a wide audience, and her commitment to destigmatizing mental health care is a powerful force for change within and beyond the adult community.”
