YNOT – After 25 years in the adult entertainment industry, it’s safe to say Peter North is a living porn legend — not only because of his celebrated ability to control “the money shot,” but also because of the endurance displayed by his behind-the-lens work. In the past few decades North has gained notoriety as a performer, producer and investor, keeping up with trends as well as creating his own.After a year’s hiatus, North is back, armed with a freshly inked distribution deal with Pure Play Media and promising new content both as a director-producer and as a performer. Originally from Canada, North moved to California in the early 1980s. He was “discovered” by a porn director while modeling athletic wear at a private party in Los Angeles, and his adult entertainment career took off almost overnight. He went on to perform in more than 1,800 scenes, winning multiple awards — including a spot in the AVN Hall of Fame — along the way.

According to North, the new partnership with Pure Play Media brings North Pole Enterprises more exposure in markets like broadcast television. The partnership also intends to initiate new projects, evidenced by the April debut of Humper to Bumpher, a reality series shot entirely in a limo. All new content will be lensed in high-definition format.
According to a Pure Play spokesperson, North’s content is perennially popular because he selects talent carefully. North said he his criteria haven’t changed much in 25 years.
“I like girls who have energy and spunk and aren’t doing the scene just because they want a paycheck,” he said. “I like girls who…really enjoy what they’re doing…or have a strong following. The best scene, in my opinion, is when a girl does what comes naturally.”
That’s part of the reason North focuses on fresh-faced young women. Starlets at North Pole often record their first-ever scenes, first interracial or first blowjob, and North manages to shoot many girls before they develop a following or leave the industry permanently. Eve Angel, a girl-girl performer noted for her Viv Thomas work, is one example: Angel first appeared in the North Pole series in the early 2000s.
