Cam model and amateur content creator Peppermint has established a GoFundMe campaign to assist in her battle with breast cancer, following a diagnosis she received October 30. Peppermint and her husband Dusty (who together form the duo PeppermintDusty have been Chaturbate broadcasters since 2016 and pride themselves on the fact their “deep love and passion for each other is evident in every show,” the duo said in a statement issued Wednesday.
In their statement, Peppermint and Dusty said they’ve “been on an emotional roller coaster” as they’ve processed the diagnosis and other information supplied by Peppermint’s doctors.
“Fortunately, Peppermint found the cancer early and took action immediately when she felt a lump in her left breast in August of this year,” the duo said in their statement. “Diagnostic tests revealed that the tumor is at no more than Stage 2, which is very treatable at this time and has a 90% recovery rate.”
While the recovery rate is good news, Peppermint and Dusty also know they have “a long road ahead of them filled with appointments, procedures, surgery and recovery,” so they’ve established the GoFundMe campaign to help pay medical costs not covered by insurance and to replace lost income from being unable to perform.
In their statement, Peppermint and Dusty said that as with any challenge they face in life, their “love and commitment for each other will see them through.”
“Peppermint is in excellent health otherwise and her strength, resilience and determination will speed her recovery,” the couple added in the statement.
In addition to donations, Peppermint and Dusty said they are “incredibly grateful for the support of their friends and fans in the adult work community and appreciate your loving thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement.”
