Having a career as sex worker is a unique career with many positives, as well as negatives. Although Penny is a Taboo MILF and does mommy/son play in her clips and website, her home life is entirely different. Penny keeps the two worlds separate, and her kids think she makes Indies films, which isn’t entirely untrue.
In The Daily Beast piece, Penny talks about training her kids to respect privacy, and she also has additional precautions, which include setting her computer to log out when she’s not using it. She also speaks freely about how being in adult has afforded her a flexible schedule and allows her to spend more time with her kids. On the downside, she isn’t involved in activities nor does she engage with other parents for fear of her children being judged or ostracized.
“I was very excited to be interviewed by The Daily Beast,” says Penny Barber. “It’s great for non-industry people to understand what it’s like to be in adult and be a parent. Just because of our career choices, we’re no different than your typical housewife or working mother—we just lead more interesting lives.”
