Paradise Visuals Co-Owner Makes Leap to Mainstream
YNOT – Jason Green leads a double life. By day, he’s the intrepid co-owner of adult video company Paradise Visuals. He also directs under the nom de porn Spencer Benedict. When he’s not intimately involved with the ins and outs of porn, Green manages the popular Las Vegas-based rock band Sin City Sinners. A recent music video Green directed for the band, “Goin’ to Vegas,” featured what have been called “hilarious” cameo performances by Ron Jeremy and Sunny Leone.
“The band has really been getting a huge following, and when it came time to make a music video, it was the perfect chance to mix my two careers,” Green said.
The convergence proved fortuitous in more than one way. After nearly 10,000 views of the music video on YouTube, Green has committed to a mainstream project that will debut in Las Vegas Friday and is expected to begin running online at YouTube and the band’s website June 27.
At least for now, “The Sinners” is a monthly comedic series featuring a “rockumentary” look at the lives of Sin City Sinners band members Todd Kernes (Age of Electric), Brent Muscat (Faster Pussycat), Michael Ellis and Rob Cournoyer (XanaX 25). In the first episode, entitled “The Sub,” the band hosts auditions for a possible replacement after Guns N Roses frontman Slash hires Sinners lead singer Kerns for a summer tour.
“I describe the series as a cross between Curb Your Enthusiasm and Spinal Tap,” Green said. “In the second webisode, the band’s bassist wrestles with the idea of going into porn and gets advice from Sunny Leone, Monique Alexander, Lupe Fuentes, Evan Seinfeld, Ron Jeremy, Lexi Belle and Sunny Lane.”
The Las Vegas premiere will take place June 25 at Club Madrid inside Sunset Station. For details, visit TheSinCitySinners.com.
