YNOT – An Australian mother wants bare breasts banned on beaches — not because there’s anything wrong with women exposing their assets, but because adult human males can be pigs.The unnamed Darwin woman called on Northern Territory Minister for Children Kon Vatskalis to take whatever measures are necessary to ensure topless tourists cover up. Her son is being warped by the uncouth reactions he witnesses in the adults around him, she wrote in a letter to the minister.

“Why do children, especially young boys, have [to] watch grown men deliberately walking past these girls and openly leering and staring at these [harlots]?” the mother wrote. “I do not want my son learning how to be a disgusting pervert from these men and seeing this behavior as normal.”

Vatskalis referred the matter to the Darwin Waterfront Corporation, where he said it belongs. The corporation said the Darwin City Council allows topless sunbathing on public beaches.

Topless sunbathing at the Waterfront gained international attention last year when “distractions” caused construction workers to slow their efforts on public building projects.
