OLYMPIA, WA — Levi Bussanich has made a unique proposal to the city of Olympia, WA: either let him build a grocery store or he’ll turn his adult book shop into a veritable sextravaganza of smut. Bussanich’s dream of building a grocery store has run up against wetland buffer laws which prohibit the construction. Undaunted, Bussanich has demanded that the city change its zoning laws or deal with a much bigger version of Desire Video.

A porn store big enough to hire live dancers, feature live sex shows, and sell BDSM items – all with the added convenience of a drive-through window for “great customer access” – and an adult motel to facilitate even better access to great customers.

OfficialWire reports that the city isn’t impressed.

Although City Councilwoman Rhenda Strub assured the press that “I don’t want a carnival atmosphere with dancing women in cages and drive-through access to his wares,” she also isn’t going to let Bussanich’s threats influence city planning.

Meanwhile, Bussanich insists that he’s not trying to blackmail anyone, just protect his bottom line.

“I have millions of dollars of real estate there. If I’m going to be restricted to use a couple acres, I must maximize my investment,” he explains.
