CYBERSPACE – Oprano.com, for many years one of the adult industry’s most popular boards, has a new look, new ownership and a new direction.The new owners, Nickatilynx and gonzo, have endeavored to create a multi-faceted resource for all types of webmasters, be they veteran or newbie, involved in either adult or mainstream ventures.
“With the new outlook on Oprano, we are interested in business,” said Oprano CEO Newton, “whether it be from adult webmasters or mainstream ones, they both have crossovers with marketing and sales but in a different environment where normally never the twain shall meet.”
Newton added that they opened the new mainstream section due to the large number of adult webmasters who also have active mainstream ventures, or who are looking to move over into mainstream. “I know a lot who have fingers in both pies,” Newton said.
Oprano.com has changed from Invision-based system to a vbulletin board with greater functionality, including an rss feed webmasters can use on their sites or blogs, and the ability for webmasters to post from a PDA or other mobile device.
Newton sees the new Oprano as having a much wider scope, and perhaps more inclusive atmosphere, than in years past. “I personally see it evolving into a webmasters resource and board, with both the chilled and relaxed atmosphere that the lounge offers and the business section which is open to all who are looking for business,” Newton said. “This is what the new Oprano is about; good business and mutually beneficial relationships.”
