YNOT – Urban X Award winner Nyomi Banxxx, the “ebony goddess of adult,” will host a party celebrating her AVN Award nomination for Best Original Song Thursday at Soulzburry Nightclub in Las Vegas. The party is one of a growing number of celebratory and networking events associated with the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, which is scheduled to run Thursday through Sunday at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.Banxxx said no cover charge will be required of adult industry members or media. “I hope everyone can come by the party,” she said. “I know there’s a lot going on that week, but this is going to be a real good party, and a great kickoff for the weekend’s festivities.”
Banxxx, a former runway model and Chicago native, garnered an AVN Award nomination as the producer and performer of the song “Goin’ on In” from Video Team’s The Jeffersons: A XXX Parody. She collaborated with Ervin Jones and Anton Slayer under the banner of her mainstream production company, That’s Common Productions.
Since joining the adult entertainment industry in 2006, Banxxx has performed for Playboy, Vivid, Wicked, Adam & Eve and Hustler, among others. Her resume includes featured roles in Manhunters (Wicked Pictures), White Guys Black Pies (Doghouse Digital), Women Seeking Women 33 (Girlfriends Films), Black Ass Addiction 4 (Jules Jordan Video), Hustler’s Desperate Housewhores 8 (Hustler), Dark Confessions (Adam & Eve) and Nyomi Banxxx is a Dominatrix (Noose Video).
Howard Stern once called her “the most beautiful black woman in porn and out [of porn],” which she said explains why she graces the box covers for half of the films in which she has appeared.
The Thursday night event, co-produced by A List Productions and Banxxx’s adult entertainment company NBX Productions, begins at 10 p.m. Soulzburry is located at 5285 Dean Martin Drive.
In addition to hosting the party, Banxxx is scheduled to sign in the Alexander DeVoe Productions/Jules Jordan booth during AEE.
