YNOT – AVN Media Network has added another group of awards to its operation. According to a statement from the company, the GFY People’s Choice Awards will allow members of the adult entertainment industry to decide who deserves to be singled out for recognition in 23 categories that honor everything from individual and company accomplishments to the depths of ignominy.

“…[T]he GFY People’s Choice Awards will provide a rare opportunity for the people to make their voices heard as to whom [sic] rightfully deserves to be recognized as the best in the industry,” the statement noted. “…[O]rganizers … have developed a tired [sic] process that includes three total rounds leading up to the final event.”

The first round, to remain open until Aug. 17, encompasses the nominations process. To nominate a person or entity for an award, members of the GFY adult webmaster forum may visit this thread and follow the instructions for posting. A word of warning: Forum moderator Eric “the Zookeeper” does not react well when posters fail to follow instructions. It is unclear whether nominations that do not conform to the indicated format will be omitted from consideration.

Round Two, which will run Aug. 18-31, will determine the top 10 finalists in each category by soliciting votes from GFY members.

During Round Three, expected to take place Sept. 1-13, a panel of at least seven industry luminaries will select the winner in each category.

Winners will be announced during “a fantabulous awards ceremony that will take place Sept. 17 during the official opening party for the Webmaster Access Amsterdam, which runs Sept. 16-19 at the Park Hotel,” the company statement noted.
