AVN Media Network announced today that Nicole Byer and Alec Mapa will host the 2020 GayVN Awards Show, presented by ManyVids. The 2020 GayVN Awards Show is set to take place Monday night, January 20th inside The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas.

Nicole is one of the most versatile and recognizable voices in the comedy landscape today. She currently stars as host of Netflix’s Emmy-nominated competition baking series NAILED IT, which was just renewed for a third season. She can also be seen as producer and star of the scripted comedy series LOOSELY EXACTLY NICOLE, which debuted its first season on MTV and aired its second on Facebook Watch. The show features her unique brand of confidence and irreverence as she demonstrates the hilarious missteps of what it means to be out on your own for the first time. Byer also appears in the new Netflix animated series TUCA & BERTIE alongside Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong and continues to host her popular weekly podcast WHY WON’T YOU DATE ME.

Byer was an early standout and fan favorite on MTV’s hit series Girl Code, a strong and smart female-driven comedy series that brings viewers a hilarious how-to manual full of over-the-top tips to push the envelope and open the dialogue about the wonders and woes of womanhood. She is also an Upright Citizens Brigade alum who continues to cement her status as a force in standup comedy, regularly performing in cities across the country.

Previously, Byer received national attention for her Above Average web series Pursuit of Sexiness, which she co-created and starred in alongside Sasheer Zamata. The series followed the adventures of two broke, single, and adorably self-absorbed young women trying to find a good guy in New York City. Her additional film and television work includes MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES, LADY DYNAMITE, BROOKLYN 99, THE UNICORN, BLACK LADY SKETCH SHOW, BOJACK HORSEMAN, and 30 ROCK.

The gay porn version of the AVN Awards will give out 13 industry awards – and 13 fan awards – to celebrate the very best in adult entertainment within the gay community.  Aficionados of gay adult entertainment are invited to support their favorite performers and models in each fan-voting category. For the first time ever, voting will be fueled by AVNStars, the new adult-industry-friendly social media platform. In order to participate in fan voting, fans must first sign up for an AVN Stars account at AVN.

Participants and fans can cast their vote by clicking on the nominee of their choice. Individuals will be allowed five votes per category every day leading up to the deadline at noon on Monday, January 20^th. Each model who is nominated for a fan-voted GayVN Award will have a personalized voting URL; models can send out the URL and ask their fans to vote for them for specific categories that are auto-filled.
