LAS VEGAS – A new ride-on sex toy plans to enter the market in June, setting itself apart from its competition not as much in form or function as in niche marketing.
Creators of The Tremor bill their product as “the rock & roll sex toy.” The tagline is a clever double entendre, riffing on both the musical genre and the machine’s motion. According to promotional literature, “The unique, sexy, retro remote with guitar-style knobs offers the user single-handed control of the ‘rock’ for vibration and ‘roll’ for rotation…”
“The Tremor is a modern machine that is unique to the ride-on sex toy category — not just knocking off established brands,” said marketing consultant Pete Housley. “Every detail of The Tremor was designed with the end-user in mind. From the single-hand-control remote to the removable silicone pad, The Tremor is a complete reimagining of ride-on sex toy.
“The Tremor, unlike other products in the category, embraces its edgy nature and encourages users to explore their wild [side],” he added.
The lightweight, A-frame base is topped by a removable silicone pad for easy cleaning. According to Housley, the pad is dishwasher safe. Two silicone attachments are included: The Bridge and The Whammy Bar. The former is a low-profile, non-insertable attachment designed for us with the “rock” vibration. The latter is an insertable with clitoral stimu-bumps. All accessories are made of 100-percent medical-grade silicone.
Anna Bell Peaks said she’s a fan.
