New Feature Lets Models, Affiliates Share the Wealth

CYPRUS – ModelCentro, a hosted content-management system that allows models to create and run official membership websites, has launched a new feature to help generate traffic — and consequently, revenue — for both models and affiliates.

The affiliate program feature enables models to pay webmasters a commission for every sign-up and/or re-bill they send. The features joins other revenue- and community-building options in the ModelCentro platform, including the ability to add a “tip me” page and blog posts.

“Our goal is to help models monetize their current fan base,” said ModelCentro Chief Executive Officer Stan D’Aman. “In an effort to assist continued growth, we’re thrilled to introduce our affiliate program feature.

“With the affiliate program being implemented on ModelCentro, models are able utilize all possible opportunities available online to increase their revenue,” he added.

Since ModelCentro’s soft launch at the beginning of 2014, the platform has become a popular option for solo models looking to create, manage and promote themselves with their own website.

“Many well-established models have since converted their membership sites over to the ModelCentro platform due to its convenience and low cost to maintain,” D’Aman said.

The program’s costs are straightforward: After a 10-percent-per-transaction fee to cover payment-processing costs, models and ModelCentro split the revenues 75 percent to 25 percent, respectively. There are no up-front, maintenance or cancellation fees.

Model Gina Devine recently launched her official fan site on the ModelCentro platform, opting to use the affiliate program feature out of the gate.

“When I looked at ModelCentro, I knew they had everything already built so I could give my members the best experience,” Devine said.

Studios and agents can also take advantage of the ModelCentro platform to monetize their models’ content in new ways.
