MIAMI – A deal to design and launch an official website for high-profile transsexual entertainer Eva Lin represents the first wave under a new agreement between a mainstream adult performer network and a popular T-girl network. According to a spokeswoman, future collaboration will include more websites, live content and internet expansion for both camps.
Vicky Vette’s VNA Network will design and launch the site for Lin, a Trans500 contract star and reigning AVN Transsexual Performer of the Year. The move makes Lin the first transsexual performer to join an established mainstream performer network. Lin also will be the first transsexual performer to perform live on Vette’s camshow platform, VNALive. Additional Trans500 performers are expected to participate in VNALive events, as well.
“I couldn’t be happier than joining the VNA,” Lin said. “With my Trans500 deal and now my VNA contract, a lot of new avenues are opening for me.
“Some people may look at it as a risk to leave a transsexual-only website network and join a standard porn star network,” she continued. “I look at it as an opportunity to break down more barriers and show transsexual performers have a lot more popularity and our niche is becoming more and more mainstream. I am going to stay close to my roots and shoot the type of content my fans expect, but [I also] plan on shooting exciting new stuff for my upcoming site.”
Originally from the Philippines, Lin signed the Trans500 contract in March.
“We are thrilled to continue helping Eva Lin as she reaches and explores new boundaries with her career, and I think teaming up with Vicky and the VNA definitely helps,” Trans500’s Josh Stone said. “We are looking to reach new levels of success.”
Vette said her organization is equally pleased.
“Some people think of the VNA as a traditional porn star network,” she said. “Yes, we have 16 signed official VNA Girls, but we also have 43 other girls doing live, exclusive membership shows through VNALive.com. On any given day you will see anything from top superstars like Julia Ann to amateur performers like a housewife in Canada.
“I am always looking to push boundaries and explore new things on the net,” she added. “I am proud the VNA is the first mainstream porn star network to sign a transsexual star to the roster. It’s not every day a performer of the caliber and name-recognition of Eva Lin is available. I am also looking forward to doing more business with Trans500 where Josh is making some impressive moves.”
The companies did not reveal under which affiliate program Lin’s new site will fall. Both pay a 50-percent recurring revenue share. Trans500’s program is here; VNA’s is here.
