CYPRUS – Tired of having your roommate, girlfriend, boyfriend, brother, sister, boss — or even worse, grandma — walk in on you while you’re watching porn? Dutch inventor Moos Neimeijer may have a solution to that vexing problem.

Minimeyes is a specially designed motion sensor that immediately shuts browser windows and mutes your device’s speakers the instant someone breaches its perimeter. No more scrambling with the mouse or trackpad; no more suspicious lovers sneaking up on you from behind just as you reach the good part of a hot video.

Neimeijer has created a working prototype, but he needs outside investors to help fund manufacturing. To that end, he’s established an IndieGoGo campaign seeking $96,000. Assuming the project reaches its funding goal, Neimeijer plans to begin shipping the finished product in November.

According to its Indiegogo page, “The minimeyes motion sensor uses a passive infrared (PIR) lens to detect when a person enters its field of view. It sends signals to a computer using Bluetooth Low Energy. There are no wires. It can be placed anywhere within 20 meters (65 feet) from a computer. On top, it has a single LED light that flashes when you should replace the battery. The included CR2032 coin cell battery can last up to 2 years.”

Adult tube site xHamster has glommed onto the project like a rodent on cheese.

“We’re always looking for technical innovations that can make watching xHamster more relaxing,” said Vice President and media mouthpiece Alex Hawkins. “Other than maybe our xHamster beer, we couldn’t think of a better partner. We’re sure there are other uses for this device, like banking and email, but porn is different. We need our hands free so we can pull up our pants.”
