SEATTLE – Feeling raunchy? Kheper Games has your back. The company’s newest party game, Acts of Insanity, promises “hours of offensive fun” for four to 12 players.
According to Kheper Chief Executive Officer Brian Pellham, Acts of Insanity combines an adult version of the classic charades with adults-only question cards. Players divide into teams of two and take turns selecting adult scenarios for another team to act out. The player who receives the scenario has two minutes in which to get his team to figure out what he’s trying to convey. Each correct answer wins one point; the first team to reach 10 points wins the game.
Acts of Insanity diverges from classic charades in that scenarios are written on the playing cards instead of contributed by the players. Each team takes five of each type of card — character, action, and location or object — and then puts one of each type together to make a challenge for another team. The results can be hilarious. One example the company gives is “a horror film killer” (character), “breast feeding” (action) and “an unwiped ass” (location or object). With 108 cards of each type, the possible combinations are almost endless.
