Needemand’s BorderAge Becomes Newest ASACP Corporate Sponsor
The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce Needemand’s BorderAge as its first Corporate Sponsor of 2026.
A nonprofit organization supported by its members and sponsors for three decades and counting, ASACP is dedicated to enhancing and promoting online child safety by encouraging corporate and parental responsibility. The organization receives financial and material support from a group of leading digital media companies, their support services, other organizations, caring individuals, and a broad range of stakeholders —including its newest Corporate Sponsor, BorderAge.
Needemand’s BorderAge brings a fresh and privacy-focused approach to age assurance, offering technology designed to help online services restrict access to age-restricted content while reducing reliance on more intrusive forms of verification.
Their commitment to exploring innovative, user-friendly tools aligns with ASACP’s long-standing mission to help operators protect minors online while maintaining a responsible environment for adults.
“Needemand is proud to become an ASACP sponsor, as protecting children online is a societal issue that will continue to gain momentum in 2026,” said Jean-Michel Polit, Needemand’s Chief Business Officer. “Age verification will become a mandate in an increasing number of regions.”
Polit noted that media coverage of frequent personal data breaches involving major platforms will increasingly steer users toward age verification solutions that do not rely on personal data.
“This is why Needemand has developed BorderAge, the only age assurance solution that does not require any personal data (no selfies, ID, or email),” Polit explained, adding, “Its unique AI technology is based on medical research that has established an accurate link between the age of individuals and the physiological features of specific hand movements.”
“BorderAge has been successfully tested by the Australian government and has been rolled out in over 100 countries,” Polit concluded. “It provides ASACP members with an opportunity to comply with regulatory requirements, while optimizing customer satisfaction and retention.”
For its part, the association welcomes BorderAge to its family of respected industry leaders known for their significant contributions to corporate responsibility, ethical business practices, and for implementing measures that improve child safety.
“With the global regulatory landscape constantly changing, companies like BorderAge are at the forefront of safeguarding minors and shielding vulnerable users from exposure to age-restricted content online,” ASACP’s Executive Director, Tim Henning, explained. “Given the numerous and significant changes happening, it is essential that an informed and united industry takes the lead. Here, BorderAge is demonstrating this leadership as we move into the new year.”
ASACP uses the support it receives to champion child safety and promote the rights of consenting adults by encouraging practical age assurance, parental education, and stakeholder responsibility.
These efforts include providing a free set of child protection resources for parents, Best Practices tailored to specific market segments, and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for all website and mobile app publishers.
Among ASACP’s most notable achievements are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system, which prevents children from accessing adult-oriented web pages and apps, and its CSAM Reporting Tipline, which has received and processed 1.6 million reports since its inception and remains a vital global resource.
“ASACP relies on support from industry leaders like BorderAges to provide our services and tools free of charge to parents and the community,” Henning added. “These resources help empower families, companies, and content creators of all sizes to stop minors from accessing age-restricted content.”
“On behalf of the association, the industry, and the children we serve, we sincerely thank BorderAges for their support,” Henning concluded. “By broadening the range of resources available to the industry, their new technology can boost compliance and make a difference.”
