Adult industry mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support announced Wednesday that Natalie Pereira has been named the organization’s new Executive Assistant. Calling Pereira a “passionate advocate for mental health,” Pineapple said she will “support the organization’s mission to provide inclusive and stigma-free support to performers across the adult industry.”
“I believe mental health support should be accessible without fear or shame,” Pereira said. “Joining Pineapple Support feels deeply aligned with my purpose, to contribute to spaces that celebrate authenticity while providing real tools and resources to those who need them most.”
Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit said Pereira “brings not only skill and creativity but a lived understanding of the communities we serve.”
“Her commitment to destigmatizing mental health and creating inclusive, celebratory spaces makes her an incredible addition to our team,” Tanit added. “I’m thrilled to welcome her to Pineapple Support.”
Founded by Tanit in 2018 after a tragic series of losses within the adult industry community stemming from depression and other mental health struggles, Pineapple Support is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. To date, the organization reports that it has “connected over 16,000 adult performers to free and low-cost therapy, counseling, and emotional support.”
Most recently, the organization announced a new support group to help members of the adult industry establish and maintain healthier relationships.
“This group is designed to help performers explore meaningful interpersonal connections, starting with the relationship they have with themselves,” Pineapple Support therapist Selina Smith explained in announcing the new support group. “Over six weeks, we’ll work through authentic self-awareness, trust, intimacy, and community, offering a safe space for reflection and actionable strategies for stronger, healthier relationships.”
