HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – A year into working with Delphine Films, a division of Model Media, Taiwanese-born, award-winning adult film director Bloomer Yang has been named as one of the studio’s primary directors, Model Media has announced.
In 2015, Yang left Taiwan after graduating from National Chengchi University to start a new life in the US and attend the Chapman University Film Screenwriting Institute. While in school and after graduation, Bloomer held various jobs, including receptionist, food delivery man, and e-commerce management manager. Despite dealing with cultural barriers, missing his friends, and homesickness, Yang graduated from school.
After graduating, Yang found a new love: standup comedy. He started taking stages and hitting open mic nights around the Los Angeles area. In 2021, the ModelTV platform was recruiting talent for filming and production. After a chance meeting, Bloomer joined the company’s editorial team and eventually made the leap to stepping behind the camera full-time.
“Thanks to Bloomer and a handful of other directors, Model Media garnered many nominations and a few wins during the recent award season and is emerging as a huge US adult brand that explores the world of eroticism without fear,” the company noted in the announcement. “He works with some of the top talents and rising stars, directing and writing for features. Bloomer will continue working on some of their most significant projects and take on even more work in 2023.”
Model Media’s founder said that Yang has become an integral part of the company.
“So many of our nominated scenes were his, and he helped us win a Best New Production Banner award with his incredible work, dedication, and vision,” the founder added. “We are proud to welcome him on board as a primary director officially and are very excited about the future.”
