Longtime performer Missy Martinez decided to retire from acting in adult films from May 1, 2019 onward. She decided to make the announcement in a guest post for the HotMovies Spotlight section.
Missy’s career began with a scene for Digital Playground in 2009. Originally only performing in girl-girl scenes, Missy expanded to boy-girl scenes as well in her ten year career as a performer. On-screen she was noted for her high charisma and her well-publicized enhanced breasts. Over that period of time she filled several roles in front of the camera, but perhaps achieved the most fame and popularity as a MILF performer. Her notable career includes several award nominations, including nominations from both XBIZ and AVN for her showcase title, Missy Martinez – Fucked Ra. She won a 2012 AVN award for her work in Kay Brandt’s Cherry 2.
Her retirement announcement, entitled Hanging Up My Heels, is trademark Missy. It is simultaneously touching, vulnerable, eloquent, and extremely funny. It is this same intelligent mix that has cultivated a large and engaged social media following, and landed her a regular spot as a contributor to the HotMovies Spotlight section.
