CYBERSPACE — ManyVids recently announced that they have partnered with DMCA Force and DigiRegs to offer improved anti-piracy protection to adult entertainers online.

DMCA Force and DigiRegi will digitally imprint every single active video on ManyVids with a unique fingerprint ID and then automatically scan the entire web for the fingerprint, Dehan said. DMCA Force and DigiRegs will issue DMCA takedown notifications on behalf of the copyright owner.

The DMCA takedown process is often murky and complex, proving to be challenging for even the most tech savvy and anti-piracy aggressive copyright holders. With many platforms, there is also the issue of who exactly is the content copyright holder. In some instances, the takedown process requires action on the behalf of the platform, rather than the models themselves.
