YNOT – Making a buck in the adult biz gets harder by the day for talent. Production has slowed, and webcamming is no longer as lucrative as it once was because the competition is fierce. What if you could sit around the house in your pajamas, chat on the phone with your fans and make good money?
That’s the concept behind Verified Call. The company takes its name from part of the process: Before a performer takes his or her first call through the system, he or she must be verified as the real deal. Fans appreciate knowing they’re talking to the genuine article.
Unlike the phone sex services of yesteryear, Verified Call adds layers of security for both fans and performers without adding a layer of complication. The company’s one-of-a-kind platform allows performers to speak directly with their fans via a secure phone connection that reveals nothing about either party’s phone number. Connections are made via a website interface: Performers are given the choice of adding a call button to their pay site or having Verified create a personal page for them. Either way, they get their own unique URL. The personal approach means performers are never competing with each other on a site where all the phone numbers appear on the same page.
To get people to call them, models market themselves through social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and other venues, letting their fans know they’re available to take personal phone calls. If the performer isn’t available when the fan wants to chat, the fan can enter his phone number and request a callback at the performer’s earlier opportunity — still without revealing his personal information.
Any model with a fan following can sign up for the service, from cam girls to industry newcomers to big-name adult stars. It costs nothing to get started. Models make 100 percent of whatever they want to charge per minute. Verified Call adds a processing fee on top of that, and the caller pays the total.
Talent agencies, studios, online companies and affiliates can get in on the action, too, earning 10 to 25 percent of per-minute charges. Rates are based on individual agreements with the performers, some of whom discount their rates for high call volumes. Payouts are made the first of every month for revenue accumulated during the previous month.
“Nobody has payouts, like we do,” said Verified Call President Kurt Vogner. “Many only give the model 30-50 percent of what they are charging per minute. Our models promote themselves and are cashing in. And, we reward our top performers with vanity URLs to increase their already exceptional traffic.”
Adult performers currently using the service include Nikki Delano, Alex Chance, Kiki D’Aire, Hope (AKA Little Miss Taft), Alana Evans, Jacky Joy, Leya Falcon and Mistress C. Spokesmodel Bree Olson, Tera Patrick, Tasha Reign, Nina Mercedez, Alexis Ford and Alexis Amore were the first performers to get vanity URLs, and more will be added in the future.
