Cyberspace – Lovehoney’s Trade Sales Executive Ilona Laboviciute has just returned from a very successful trip to China after visiting distributors and attending the Shanghai Adult Expo, China’s biggest Adult Exhibition.
Lovehoney’s booth at the Shanghai Adult Expo was inundated with visitors across the three days, both consumer and trade. It was the perfect opportunity for Lovehoney to show the collections to the Asian market.
Fifty Shades Darker – The Official Pleasure Collection alongside other licensed Lovehoney ranges were showcased for the first time in the Asian market. Visitors to the stand were particularly taken by the tokidoki x Lovehoney Pleasure Collection, with the hero handpainted tokidoki x Lovehoney unicorn wand a stand-out item.
Ilona was joined by Johan from Lovehoney China. Lovehoney Co-founder Neal Slateford, Product and Innovation Director Bonny Hall and Quality and Technical Manager Paul Jaques also coincided supplier meetings and visits with attending the show.
Ilona commented on the success of the show:
“We had so many compliments from people who had heard of the success of Lovehoney and had awareness of our products. It was a great trip and we spoke to people from all over Aisa: not only China but South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Hong Kong. We are really looking forward to growing the Lovehoney brand further in Asia as it is an exciting region to work in. ”
Not only did Ilona enjoy the business aspect of the show but when she did have downtime she immersed herself into the Chinese culture – visiting temples and tucking into tasty tofu which was cooked by street food vendors outside the show venue. Attending Chinese lessons twice a week with Neal, she also had the chance to practice her Chinese language.
