NEW YORK CITY – Let’s be honest: Not everyone can afford the time or expense required to attend one of the adult entertainment industry’s celebrated awards shows. Unless you live in a major U.S. coastal city or a European hotspot, the travel alone is onerous. Then there’s the matter of finding a hotel, making sure your attire is suitably impressive and finding the cash for tickets.
Never fear, homebodies. Live-cam platform Flirt4Free has your back. On June 22, the company will live-stream the inaugural Str8UpGayPorn Awards directly from the infamous Stage 48 concert venue in Hell’s Kitchen. All the action will be no farther away than your internet-connected screen, you can’t beat the price, and you can attend in your ratty shorts and tacky T-shirt. (However, in the spirit of things, we suggest you at least drag out the Armani jockstrap. Let’s not be gauche.)
Davyd Dixon, executive producer of the ceremony, said the first-of-its-kind event will be the gay awards bash up to which all others will strive to live. After all, no less a personage than the inimitable Sandra Bernhard will host. In addition, the 12-person judging panel is a who’s who of writers and editors from MTV, Billboard Magazine, Jezebel, PAPER magazine, The New York Times and MIC.com, among others, with a few adult-industry experts sprinkled in for seasoning. Mainstream media outlets and a gaggle of New York City tastemakers and celebs are expected to attend.

Their live webcam expertise will also ensure that thousands of people get to experience the show live from New York City from their computer or smartphone.”
According to Flirt4Free’s James Bean, “We’re live-streaming the Str8UpGay Porn Awards because want to fulfill Davyd’s vision of streaming the awards online, and because it will allow access to anyone who wants to view. We’ve done live-stream events before. One of the most memorable was our Flirt4Free Fratmen Penthouse Party in Phoenix a few years ago.”
This celebration will be different, though, according to F4F Director of Product Jaimie Rodriguez.

We will be at the ceremony in New York City to celebrate the industry and kick off Gay Pride weekend with everyone.”
The Str8UpGayPorn Awards will honor outstanding achievement in gay adult film, bringing performers, fans and surprise celebrity guests together for one unforgettable night in the City that Never Sleeps. Immediately following the ceremony, the throng of attendees will adjourn to Stage 48’s Rooftop, overlooking the Manhattan skyline.
VIP tables, reserved seating and tickets will be available beginning April 28.
