VENICE, CA –We usually think of award show sponsors as the big, dollar-waving companies eager to promote the latest products while supporting the event, but the upcoming 2018 XRCO Awards will have a surprising brand on the signage at the show: sizzling redhead Lauren Phillips.
The innovative redhead decided to become of sponsor of one of the industry’s longest-running awards shows and most-beloved annual events as part of her continued effort to be in the mix with the industry’s biggest events and movements.
“This is my first-time sponsoring, I am excited to be a part of something so wonderful,” Lauren Phillips said. “I really want to help more this year and I think this is the next step. With #spreadthelove and sponsoring XRCO awards, I want to contribute to my community and I think this is a great way. I also want to show that a performer can build their business like bigger companies. It’s all about saving and planning.”
Lauren is only the second performer to come in as a sponsor, a role usually reserved for companies – and her support has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by the organization.
“I love Lauren Phillips! First met her in person at XRCO 2 years ago – she was there, eager, even before the doors opened,” XRCO’s co-chairman Dirty Bob said. “Aside from Angela White, I believe she is the only star to become a sponsor of the event — which is greatly appreciated as she is doing it on her own and not for political reasons. In fact, voting was already over when she became a sponsor. I’m thrilled that she is managing her career in such a positive direction.”
Lauren Phillips, who has been a big hit at industry trade shows like Exxxotica and the NightMoves Awards, was also one of the driving forces behind this year’s #spreadthelove campaign and donated a percentage of her camming income during the Adult Entertainment Expo to End To Cyber Bullying (ETCB), an organization helping to combat cyber-bullying. She was also instrumental in the #SpreadTheLove party in April that saw all proceeds go to ETCB and Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC).
Her sponsorship package includes her logo on the red carpet press wall, a banner on XRCO.com for a full year, a half-page ad in the show’s program, a mention in all press releases as a sponsor, a table at the awards show and electronic signage at the awards show.
This year’s XRCO Awards will be the second for Lauren. Previously she did red carpet interviews, something she calls “the best experience for me and my career.” Lauren is nominated for Unsung Starlet at this year’s show.
