BARRANQUILLA, Colombia – Citing “constant attacks by some individuals and groups without arguments” that have forced a move from the original host city of Cartagena to Barranquilla, the organizers of the Lalexpo have announced a change in venue for the show. The dates of the event, June 12-15, have not changed.
“This industry is powerful and stronger than ever. Despite all the blockades they are trying to put in our way to prevent us from holding our annual expo, Lalexpo 2022 is a reality,” Lalexpo said in a statement explaining the show’s relocation. “The change of venue was necessary to avoid uncomfortable situations; despite having carried out all the legal procedures for which all the required documentation was presented, after having the approval of the Local Mayor’s Office since February 2022 and also having the support of the Cartagena Convention Center.”
In the statement, Lalexpo said those who have already purchased flights to Cartagena “will be able to have free transportation to the city of Barranquilla, a very short trip of 1.5 hours.”

Lalexpo described the attacks by its critics as not only directed towards the expo and the adult industry, but “also against the exercise and development of free enterprise in Colombia.”
“We are prepared for any eventuality, that is why we counted on the possibility of changing the venue of the event to Barranquilla, a dynamic, modern, and fun city that has been consolidating as the engine of development of the Caribbean Region,” Lalexpo added. “Even though we are accused of promoting abominable crimes such as sexual exploitation and exploitation of minors, an accusation that we clearly and forcefully reject, we will continue with our efforts to make this event and continue to show the importance of our industry nationally and internationally.”
Lalexpo said the show schedule and events previously announced will not change, just the location of the show.
