LAL Expo organizers have decided to postpone the first US edition of the trade show due to COVID-19 concerns.
The show, originally scheduled to happen in Las Vegas, NV from April 9 – 11, has been rescheduled for October. The new show dates are October 4 – 6, 2020.
“We have been working on this event for more than a year, and we are very [eager] to see how it will perform. It is a very important and meaningful project for us,” said Anthony Rivera, co-founder and organizer of the event. “But we can’t ignore the current situation, and we have the moral duty to ensure our participants and friends the best condition to do business.”
“Because of this outbreak and the current uncertain situation, we think that it is wiser to postpone the event,” Rivera added.
LAL Expo is the only gathering of its kind and seeks to provide a legitimate hub for all the industry businesses related to Latin America.
“We know that some professionals have already planned their trip, but this situation is out of our control. Even if we would love to gather everyone in the beautiful city of Las Vegas, we prefer to ensure everyone’s safety, because, for us, it is the most important,” explained Juan Carlos Rivera, co-organizer of the LAL Expo.
“LAL Expo is the perfect mix of business and fun, and in this sad context, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the event to the maximum,” he added.
When LAL Expo began seven years ago, the event was mainly focusing on the webcam industry. Over the years, however, the conference has grown at a very fast rate, attracting all industry segments — from traffic to payment, legal to marketing consultancy, pleasure predicts and video production.
The US edition of the expo is sponsored by BongaCams, Chaturbate, XloveCam, Flirt4Free, ManyVids, Glimpse.me, TheWebcamLab, Elfo, Paxum, Ynot, Cam4, Epoch, SakuraLive, AwSummit, OkiCenter, AjStudios, FanCentro, Streamate and SexyJobs and will be held in the hotel Artisan in Las Vegas, NV.
