Lacy Lennon has a couple big roles in the upcoming Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel BraunParody(Wicked Pictures) release and one of them may surprise people: she sang the theme song.
Lacy is an opera singer and Braun is the four-time winner of the AVN Award for AVN Best Soundtrack and he says this song is at the core of “the most grandiose soundtrack/music score that I’ve ever done.” And Lacy’s hidden talent came as a complete surprise to the director.
“During a break on set I heard some incredible soprano singing coming from the makeup room,” Braun recalled. “As a big opera fan, I immediately went to see what was playing, and to my surprise it wasn’t a record, it was Lacy just casually belting out a tune from ‘La Traviata.’ Needless to say, I was totally blown away by her talent, so I asked her if she’d be willing to record this pretty difficult title song that I had written. A couple weeks later we went to the studio and she was just pure magic!”
“Music has been a part of my life since the day I was born,” Lacy said. “I grew up mainly singing in choirs, solo competitions, musicals and at church growing up. When I went to college, I was an opera major. It’s definitely a passion that is still in process of what I want to do with it. As for now I’m just living in the moment and when my voice flies free sometimes it’s heard by those around me. I was heard by Axel on set and I saw a sparkle in his eye! He popped the question and I thought, Why not? I love to sing and maybe my fans might love to hear me sing!
“The studio was a realprofessional studio,” she continued. “I’ve never really have sang in such a equip space! So that was pretty mind-blowing and has inspired me to start writing once again. Overall creativity allows me to grow as a performer in many aspects. Very grateful that this industry has given me opportunities to not only perform as a total nympho, but to be an actress and even a musician.”
Lacy also has a boy/girl/girl scene in the movie, but Braun isn’t ready to reveal who she worked with just yet. Eager fans can dream up their favorite match from a cast that includes Ana Foxxx, Aubrey Kate, Kenzie Taylor, Quinton James, Ramon Nomar, Tyler Knight and Alex Legend.
“The sex scene is one word: wild,” Lacy said. “It’s a secret right now who I performed alongside with, but I promise no one will be disappointed. This honestly might be one of my best scenes and something fans will remember forever. Simply iconic! I just get into my scenes so much and being that I’m obsessed with cosplay, comics, and superhero movies it was a fantasy that came alive for myself. Dreams really do come true!”
Lacy plays Jean Grey in the movie, about which Braun teases, “I’m sure most fans will wonder what the hell is Jean Grey doing in a Captain Marvel movie…I guess they’ll have to wait for it to come out!”
“Lacy was really the only choice for the role of Jean Grey,” he continued. “She is a gifted actress and a fantastic performer, and she also happens to have a very deep knowledge of the character, which definitely shows on the screen. She was a delight to work with, and her three-way scene is absolutely phenomenal!”
Captain Marvel XXXis the director’s 60thparody and will be available Sept. 30.
