SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Online fetish giant Kink.com has introduced the wired world to a lot of strange and wonderful things during the past 11 years – and it’s about to do it again; this time not just with its content but its format.Starting immediately, visitors to the company’s various fetish sites who log into their members-only areas will find all of the newly downloadable .MWV and .MPEG perversions in HD 720p.

According to a press release from Kink.com, the change to HD 720p means a 50-percent increase in vertical lines of resolution – meaning the company’s sites now offer the highest resolution adult content available online, with only a slight increase in download time.

Nicole Aptekar, Kink.com’s encoding engineer puts the decision to convert into context by pointing out that “Kink has been releasing in high definition for two years, so the content was already about the best available. But this takes it to a whole new level. Over the next few months we’ll be re-encoding all our high-def releases in the new format. We’ll also be re-encoding our standard definition content in what’s called 480p. We’ll get them to the highest quality possible, almost like they’re right off the tape.”

In addition to looking great on a computer monitor, Aptekar assures fans that all of the re-encoded content will convert beautifully to mobile devices, regardless of whether they are iPods, iPhones, Zunes, Archos, or other.

“Videophiles will be impressed,” director of marketing, John Sander, assures.

Included in the list of Kink.com sites currently affected by the format change are Hogtied.com, TSSeduction.com, and UltimateSurrender.com. The new and improved high def format is being added to WhippedAss.com, WiredPussy.com, MeninPain.com, WaterBondage.com, SexAndSubmission.com, DeviceBondage.com, FuckingMachines.com, and documentary series site BehindKink.com throughout this week.
