AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – Amsterdam-based interactive pleasure technology developers Kiiroo have announced the company is sponsoring the Porn Film Festival Amsterdam (PFFA), which kicks off yesterday and runs through Sunday, March 1 at several venues around the city.
In announcing their sponsorship of the event, the company said that as “part of its ongoing commitment to innovation, sexual expression, and community empowerment, Kiiroo will be supporting the festival alongside fellow sponsors and industry leaders.”
“Through this partnership, Kiiroo reinforces its dedication to supporting platforms that uplift creators, performers, and diverse voices within the adult industry,” the company added, explaining that “members of the Kiiroo team will be present throughout the festival, including attendance at the Industry and Community Day (Industry Creators Day), where they look forward to connecting with filmmakers, performers, sex workers, and fellow innovators.”
“The team will also be capturing exclusive behind-the-scenes moments and interviews to share across Kiiroo’s digital channels, highlighting the creativity and conversations emerging from the event,” the announcement noted.
“As a brand rooted in Amsterdam and built on collaboration with creators, it’s important for us to actively support the spaces that shape our industry,” said Ashton Egner, Marketing and Ops Communications Manager at Kiiroo. “Porn Film Festival Amsterdam represents culture, art, and community, all values that align closely with our mission.”
Kiiroo said attendees are encouraged to connect with their team during Community Day and to “follow along on Kiiroo’s social platforms for live updates and exclusive content.”
On the film festival’s website, the organizers of Porn Film Festival Amsterdam explain the festival was “created to fill a striking gap”
“For a city internationally known for its Red Light District, sexual freedom and LGBTQIA+ vibrancy, Amsterdam had no annual film festival dedicated to sex, gender and sexuality in a broad sense until 2024,” the website notes. “PFFA stepped into that space with a simple but radical belief: Porn doesn’t have to be disposable. It can be artistic, political, moving, thought-provoking and a catalyst for self-discovery.”
